"Peony" is a resingrave engraving. The image is roughly 3x5 in. printed in an edition of 16 prints on Arches 88 paper. 2007

- I am a printmaker living and working in Providence, Rhode Island. Though I occasionally make screen prints and etchings, I have been working in relief engraving for the past 3 years. The process involves engraving an image into a small block, then inking the block and printing the image on fine paper using a 90 year old proofing press. i love peonies. because they need help to stand up on their own because their flowers are so heavy. i love that! nice drawing.
